The Impact of Income on Your Health

Many would be surprised to find out that income does have a direct effect on your health. The amount you make influences your general medical treatment for starters. However health does go further than that.

Grade and high school often do give some good health education and things you need to find a better income later in life as well, if you focus on it that way. You learn good diet, physical education, health education, and sometimes even delve deeper into the science of health.

One of the largest boosts though to better health education is often found in college physical education. Instead of courses simply focused on one sport, often the courses are more action packed on health issues and better habits within them. Though even in other courses such as English and Science, you wind up researching and writing a good bit of these subjects too.

Beyond college, we often wind up moving to higher population areas as that is where higher incomes come at. Along with this come better health care and those with more experience. At the same time dealing with more people we will likely find more exposure to health fanatics, marketing of health products, and through normal media, lots of content on health. With higher incomes, often come more magazine packages as well, that will likely bring many more health articles.

Working a high paying desk job will tend to bring about a gut, that then we will need to find out how to get rid of, as we don’t feel so good that way. Not every well paid desk job has a big gut anymore. With a good income, the gut can be gotten out of and lead to a health level that is better. This doesn’t guarantee good health, but the higher income and its side effects can make it apparent and affordable to deal with health. With a higher income, you also have more health clubs to choose from to swim at.

Another aspect comes from good medical insurance that often comes with higher income jobs. Often health care facilities are well aware what the insurance company will pay for. For those patients with better insurance coverage, better procedures and advice will likely occur. Of course without insurance, but the ability to pay entire medical bills for the best treatments in single bounds will bring the best health care found.

While socialized medicine comes up from time to time in politics, it’s also proved that while medical treatment would get much cheaper, so does the quality of treatment.

After reading all this, you find yourself disbelieving, go see for yourself. Census data is a good place to start in looking for statistics on income levels, health expenses, life expectancies, and many other aspects of society easily viewed in regional ways. It’s easy to see health statistics and how they tend to follow income levels.
